Importing Images

Photos can be imported from any location.  This could be photos already stored on your PC directly from your camera or USB drive.  Importing and attaching photos can be done in several ways.

1.   When in the main program screen if you plug in a camera or USB drive the program will automatically detect this and load the import screen and then show any images on the device.

2.   Clicking the import icon graphic displays the same screen however you have to manually select the folder containing the images.

3.   The last way is to click the 'Attach Images' button directly from the inspection details screen.  If you are only attaching images to a single inspection then this is the preferred method as it automatically assigns the images to the loaded inspection without you needing to specifically select the inspection.

Attaching Photos:

If you haven't loaded the import screen by plugging in your camera you need to select the folder. Click the 'Select folder'.  This allows you to pick the location where your photos are stored.  Once selected it will start loading all the photos which meet the 5 mega pixels minimum size requirements.  It will also only show any new images since your last import.  These options can be removed at any time by unchecking the options.  This can be useful as at times you may need to see all the images instead of just the new ones.

By right clicking any of the images you can assign a photo to any of the open inspections.  Once assigned the road worthy number will be displayed below the image and you can move on to the next photo.  By working this way you can assign photos to different inspections at the same time. Once your happy with your selections clicking the 'Attach Selected Images' imports and attaches the images to the inspections.  This will start the process and will automatically stamp the attached images with the inspection number and timestamp.  No need for you to hold a board up while taking photos.

Photos selected for importing are surrounded by a blue border.  To stop photos from being imported simply deselect the photo by clicking on the image again.

If you have loaded the import screen directly from an inspection you can still assign to different inspections however simply selecting the image will automatically assign it to the inspection.  This can be much quicker if you're only attaching images to one or two inspections.

Double clicking on any image thumbnail will display the full image allowing you to better select the correct photos:
